Keeps on aborting - everytime I add a new clip onto the timeline, restarting helps but as soon as I manipulate a clip (cut, move; insert new clip) openshot aborts

Asked by jeepees

I created an openshot project with multiple tracks.
Top track : titles (audio on track muted)
2nd track = video track 1 (no mutes)
3rd track = video track 2 (no mutes)
4th track = background music (video muted)
5th track = voice (video muted)

In the beginning with a couple of clips it worked out all OK, but as I added more and more different clips, each time adding a clip and positioning the pointer before the clip or just hit the play button to see the result, openshot then aborts.

so I have to add a clip, SAVE, play from the beginning of the project then it runs fine.
I then cut out the portion of a clip I want, SAVE the project and play or reposition the pointer a bit before the clip and play - then openshot aborts
I restart openshot, let it play from the beginning and it will accept my cut out from a clip I previously added..

then it starts all over again.. add a clip, SAVE, play - abort of openshot
restart, open the project, play from the beginning, it accepts the new clip OK
Cut out the portion of the clip, SAVE, play - again abort
restart openshot, open project, play from beginning and again OK..

over and over.. this is unworkable !

Thanks to help me out how I can capture the log from the aborts in order to solve it.
