OpenShot Video Editor

It does not let me edit openshot, it leaves a box called MLT

When I open Openshot, I get another tab from a black box that says MLT and when I get into that box it marks me with python (v.2.7) and it does not leave or save the file and it's been around for three days, and I do not know what to do, please I need help.
I had Ubuntu 14.04
