OpenShot plugin, freiOr. How to install?

Alert box reads:
 "Not all effects can be loaded. OpenShot can not find the freiOr effect library installed. Please install the freiOr-plugins package from your package manager."

I'm a complete novice to Linux. I see the plugin in the package manager, but I don't know how to do this.
