DVD of project won't play on TV

When I try to create a DVD of a project, everything seems to go ok. But when I try to view the DVD on a TV (via a DVD player) it won't work.
Settings to record DVD: Profile: DVD, Target: DVD-NTSC, Video Profile: DV/DVD NTSC, Quality: Med
I create and record the DVD on a Linux PC (Ubuntu 14.04) using OpenShot 1.4.3
Symptom of problem on TV: Message "Disc Error"

Am I using an incorrect setting?
