How to reduce momentarily the volume level of a sound track

I have a music sound track through the video in its entire length. But during video clips with speak I want to reduce the volume level of the music and increase it again when the speak ends. But I can only set the volume level for the entire music clip, not parts of it. Please inform me whether I have missed a point.
