OpenShot Video Editor

Will all the old effects available in Openshot 1.4.x, such as distort, be ported to 2.x?

The effects were not just toys. With some time and dedication they can be used to produce some pretty good videos. Will they be making a come back? Or do I need to downgrade/do a duplicate installation?
