Audio Stutter in Openshot-qt on all video files

Asked by Brian McGonagill

I have cloned the Github repo, and installed all dependenices, then installed Openshot-qt on Ubuntu 14.04. I have not installed ffmpeg but do have libav.

Any clip I use in Openshot QT is giving an audio stutter. It's kind of like it's dropping out about every half second or so for a half second.

When I play the same clips in VLC the audio is fine, so I'm resigned to believe it's something with Openshot-qt, but no idea what I might check.

Any help is appreciated.

Like with the 1.4.3 branch, You should use ffmpeg instead of libav even Libopenshot can use the both. After, ffmpeg is an active project, not libav full of bug.

Update Openshot/Libopenshot every day or not. Your issue can be already resolved.

So, I've installed ffmpeg, but have no idea if openshot-qt is using it or libav. Is there a way to tell openshot-qt to use ffmpeg over libav?

I'm still getting the stuttering.
