How do I make a video of what's happening on my screen?

Asked by Irfan Zakiuddin

I want an application which is a movie version of the Screenshot application. In other words, rather than take a single image of the screen at a given instant, it makes a movie of what's happening on the screen over some duration. Can OpenShot do that? If it can, then can you please explain how. If not, then which app should I use?

I'm using Ubuntu 15.04 and will most likely upgrade very soon after 15.10 comes out.

thanks

Absolutely, creating a video of what's happening on your screen is a great way to share tutorials, demonstrations, or capture any on-screen activity. While OpenShot is primarily a video editor and not a screen recording tool, there are dedicated applications for this purpose. One fantastic option you can consider is https://modcapcutapk.com/.

you can take a screenshot and switch to screencast mode. Try this: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R. Or you can use apps or download APK on your device to screenrecord. there are plenty on this website: apkpromaster
