OpenShot Video Editor

Can't Import .mp4 files from my Android phone

Hello,

I'm new to Linux Mint and I am trying to import and edit mp4 video files from my Android phone and the error message says "OpenShot does not support this file type" am I missing some codecs somewhere?

Transferred the files to my local hardrive and it would import, but it is the program is crashing constantly in Mint 17.2. New to Linux in general and LOVE it but am struggling with these types of issues.

Use the true FFmpeg and not his fork so use the mcc ppa (last update) in this faq:https://answers.launchpad.net/openshot/+faq/1040
