Video shows wrong colors in timeline, preview is OK

Asked by Steve Randall

I add an MP4 (from youtube) to my project. If I "preview file" it looks fine. If I move the file to the timeline and play it there, I get false colors, like a corrupted palette or something. If I output the project I get the same false colors. This is on Arch Linux, but when I try the exact same thing booting from the AV Linux disk it works fine. This is version 1.4.3 in both cases.

I see the same effect as well with a slideshow made up of JPG pictures. Interestingly, they look OK while fading in and out, but have bad colors in the middle.

I found this: http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2364

It's nice to know that there's still development going on, but discouraging that it doesn't (yet) fix the problem.
