how to sync audio from external recorder

The proper way is to give yourself a sync mark on the video as well as the audio, simply clapping your hands, using a slate or clapboard as you have probably seen. you simply align the the video and audio in the time line and it should stay in sync for the length of that scene. the problem with shooting with external audio is that the syncing process takes time and the shooting is time comsuming especially if you are working alone.

In the clip properties, first tab, use position on the timeline could help
you in this task. Take a look at our manual :
