Export video without re-rendering the whole video

Asked by Alwuzomondo

Quite often I use Openshot for very simple editing of same format video files. For example cut out a part of a .mp4 file or merge two files in to one. When done I need to export and re-render the whole result. I would be a great improvement if I could just save the result in that same format as the input without re-rendering. Would this be possible?

I think this aswer will also answer question #245557, and the 'not yet' partof question #141152

Best regards, Alwuzomondo

HI,
Quickly, not available in Openshot 1.4.3. This feature should be in the 2.0.0.
Thanks.

Thanks for the rapid anwser! looking forward to it. Would it be possible to add 2.0.0 to the release planning? latest announced version is now 1.5.0.

You are a lucky man, I'm less present than usual and it is the same thing for Andy and Jonathan. Because we are working on the 2.0.

Its will be done when time will come, no worries for that.
