OpenShot Video Editor

no sound out in editing window

I cannot seem to get the editor to play the audio of the project. I plays the audio of the various individual clip when played-back from the thumbnails, but not when the project is played in the preview window, which is a bit of a nuisance. A toggle switch I have inadvertently come at, perchance?

Perhaps, you have clicked inadvertently on the sound icon which is in the left side in the clip.
What kind of audio file are you using ? MP3, acc, .... Its could explain if you are not using the good version of FFmpeg (you know the famous problem with propriataries codecs like mp3, h264, acc,.....)
What is your distribution, version of Openshot, MLT, FFmpeg, ....
