Animated GIF's don't work

I have seen the previous tickets, and they did not help. What I want is to know if it is possible to import an ANIMATED GIF file into Openshot. Each time I try, it just shows up as the first frame of the GIF. I also tried an animated PNG file, with the same result. Can someone please tell me how to get this working? And if it is not possible, can I request that this feature be implemented? Thanks!

I don't think this is possible - Openshot doesn't include any support itself for file formats/codecs, this is provided by the ffmpeg/libAV/MLT libraries.
