how to do simple editing without sound

Asked by Mickey Mouse

Is it possible to edit clips in Openshot? I mean that I would like to cut out portions of a clip and delete them (just as I could remove portions of a text file in a text editor). In the Manual I find a section called "Slice a Clip (Razor Mode)". Here there three lines on how to slice a clip, and no information on what to do next. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place. I understand how to move the clip to the timeline, but I cannot figure out how to remove the portions I don't want and join up the portions that I wish to keep. The clips that I want to edit have some background noise but I am not interested in a soundtrack. I need very simple instructions because I am a complete beginner in this kind of work.

Just selecting the portions that you want to remove (after to use the razor mode) and right click on those then del button. You must do that for each portions to remove. I hope that I am clear.
