Easy way to add random animations to a set of pictures in one operation?

Asked by Manuel Zaforas

Hello!
I would know if is possible perform a simple operation to add random animations to a set of pictures (similar way that add multiple randoms transitions when move to timeline).

I can't find this feature but I think It would be very useful, because the other alternative is add the animations one by one and you spend a lot of time in this task if you are using a big set of pictures.

Thanks for your support! and congratulations for the great software!
Manuel

Hi,
This feature is already present in Openshot. Select your pictures in the menu, right click, select Add to the timeline, modifie the photo order, select all animations and apply.
Think to have two free tracks.
Thanks.

Thanks for your answer Cenwen, but I can't find how the perform the last step "select all animations and apply", I only see the option to randomize the order and randomize the transitions, but not the animations.

I have running OpenShit 1.4.3 over Ubuntu 12.10

Thanks!
Manuel

On the right part, you have tree expenders. Go to the thrid called Transition. Select then Radom transition and apply.
Take a look at the screenshot that I have joined with this answer.
That's all.

Thanks Cenwen,
But you are talking about "transitions" (what happens between 2 images), and my question is focus in "animations" (what happen during one image time)

I only found this option in the menu available when right click over one image already insert in the line time (my openshot is translated to spanish and the menu says "Animar" that I assume in english should be "Animate" or something similar)

Thanks for your effort!

Ok, thanks for your time and interest Cenwen.

Regarding my first post, I think that this feature would be interesting for future developments.

In any case thanks again.

You should open a bug report for that, explaining well the issue or what do you want for having this feature.
I'll put it in our bug tracker and like this, it won't be lost until somebody will work on it.
Thanks.

I don't think this is possible - Openshot would not consist of any aid itself for report codecs/formats, that is furnished by means of the ffmpeg/libAV/MLT libraries. You can see demo here https://reignofreads.com/

Can you help with this problem?
