image sequence: 1 frame per image not working

Asked by Nigel Noriega

I'm importing an image sequence for a time lapse shot. 3 to 5 frames per image seems to be working fine (I get a choppy time-lapse video), but 1 frame per image does not work. The video is just a still image. How can I fix?

Hi,
I am not a specialist for time-lapse video even I like it. So I am not sure that I could help you resolve your issue.
But two things :
- could you give us exactly what you are doing (preset used, numbers of images, , adjusts used,...........)
- a specialist of time-lapse video is often present on our forum. You should post on.
Thanks.

Thanks,
I'm using 315 images for a time-lapse of a laboratory procedure. I tried following the instructions directly from the Openshot manual. Namely:
"The easiest way to import an image sequence, is to drag and drop just a single image from the sequence into the “Project Files”, or use the Import Files screen and import just a single image. It will then prompt you to import the entire image sequence. Using this method will automatically determine the file name pattern, and set all the correct settings for the sequence."

The images I am using are .jpg files.
I chose the first image (chronologically) in the series, for both the drag and drop method, and the Openshot seemed to have no problem assembling the folder. I used no presets or adjustments that I know of.

So check your dependencies following this link : http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1060
I'm thinking that It could miss you the libjpeg dependencies and it could explain your situation.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Nigel Noriega for more information if necessary.
