How do I apply the effects to the video I'm working on? (i.e.: the brightness)

Asked by Chester Taylor

How do I apply the effects to the video I'm working on? (i.e.: brightness, bass, treble, etc) I've tried selecting the brightness and have no luck figuring how to turn it up or down. I'm a complete newbie to this operating system and program. I know that's annoying (sorry). Thanks for your time.

Just drag 'n drop the effect on the clip that you want to apply the effect selected. It is the same thing for transitions.
Like you are a newbie, you should take a look at your manual that you have two versions one installed with Openshot (by menu>help or F1) either in line here : http://www.openshotusers.com/help/en/
You have even a section that will help you to take in hands in five minutes..
Good luck and welcome in the Linux world.

How do I control the amount of brightness. I know I can keep increasing the amount by re-applying the effect. But I want to increase the brightness by 1/2 that of the default effect amount.
