Since this is a Linux only app it will not be possible to install on a mac. Sorry.

A user have tried to create one but he fails. The problems comes more of MLT framework than Openshot himself, even hanspb have said that Openshot is Linux application.

This situation will change with our own framework called libopenshot but he (and Openshot himself) will need a lot of stuff, tests,... and like it will be the first time that we'll realize a MAC OS version, to my mind that will not for 2012. Of course, the linux version and probably the Windows versions will come before.
You could benefit of Openshot and Linux and all open sources software using a virtualizing tool, even it is not the same.
Thanks for your interest to this open source project. Be patient, we are coming.......
