Can I directly upload from a osp file to youtube? if not, why is it offered in the dialogue for the upload to youtube?

Asked by Daniel Germer

I created an openshop project and it generated an osp file, now, how can I just upload this to youtube best, do I really first have to render it / export?

If yes, why isn't it just doing it automatically? - it could show the dialogue box as in the Export option for the web - youtube and offer to do it in HD etc. so that the path is straight and with less interference of the user?

If not, why are .osp offered as an option in the dialogue "Upload Video...." ? I think it should not be available there as an option but should only contain those files that youtube actually accepts:
"Here is a list of some well-known formats that YouTube supports:

WebM files - Vp8 video codec and Vorbis Audio codecs
.MPEG4, 3GPP and MOV files - Typically supporting h264, mpeg4 video codecs, and AAC audio codec
.AVI - Many cameras output this format - typically the video codec is MJPEG and audio is PCM
.MPEGPS - Typically supporting MPEG2 video codec and MP2 audio
    .WMV
    .FLV - Adobe-FLV1 video codec, MP3 audio
