How do I make a video widescreen?

Asked by Sarah Cotton

Or to at least get it to where the dimenisons of the video are correct, but there is just... video. No blackness. I just want the picture to take up all of the space.

convert the video into 16:10 instead of 16:9 widescreen. it will use most of the screen.

I think you are having the same problem that I had, namely, how to make the video show full screen on a wide screen, such as laptops now generally have. I have found no way to do this within OpenShot while working on the video, but when exporting, if you choose
    Profile Web
    Target YouTube HD
you will get an mpg4 file which, when playing, can be shown full screen with perfect results.

Can you help with this problem?
