slow picture as well as missing pixels

Am having a problem using openshot when i get done recording my video with recordmydesktop i play the video with banshee and the video comes out good as if i was really using my desktop but when i go to edit my video and export it with openshot or lives and the video is done exporting when i go to play it with any program the video is missing tons of pixels and is very choppy.
setting for openshot are--- Profile - Web/ Target - Youtube/ Video profile - vga ntsc (i can only choose vga ntsc)/ Quality - High
