Circle around or arrow pointing out highlighted player

Asked by Adrian Kekec

I am making a highlight reel of my soccer clips. The problem is some clips move quite rapidly from one to another and sometimes its difficult to identify which player I am. So what I would like to do is overlay a circle or an arrow to point me out. Is there anyway I can do this in openshot? If not could someone point me in the right direction.

You can make anarrow or a circle or any graphics you want with a transparent backgrund in Inkscape, and use the .svg file in OpenShot. The problem is if you need to let the graphics follow your movements within the frame, as OpenShot does not have any kind of tracking, and keyframing is a bit limited.

Hope this helps.

Yes this seems to be the only viable solution. It does work but proved too time consuming in my case. Thanks for the help.

Creating a captivating highlight reel for soccer clips is essential, and I understand the challenge of rapidly transitioning scenes and identifying the highlighted player. To address this, OpenShot video editor offers various features to enhance your videos. While I'm not certain about the specific functionality you mentioned, adding an overlay such as a circle or an arrow to point out the player is certainly possible in many video editing software.

If OpenShot doesn't have the exact feature you're looking for, I recommend exploring other video editing tools that offer advanced overlay capabilities. Some popular options include Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Davinci Resolve. These software programs provide more extensive editing features and allow you to precisely overlay shapes, arrows, or text to highlight specific elements in your soccer clips.
