Photos inport upside down

Asked by Michelle Walker

It's that simple. I am importing photos into OpenShot and they are importing upside down. I try to fix rotate and nothing happens. I'm new to this program so I might be missing something but darned if I can figure it out. I am on Ubuntu 10.04, using version 1.1.3-1 on a PC.

Hi,
You seems to have an old version of Openshot and MLT (of course) our actual video framework.
You should update theses and it should be resolved.

Hi,

I updated to the new version through the PPA page on the website. It still
happens but I don't know what MLT is. Maybe that's the problem. Please let
me know and I will update accordingly and report back.

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry, it is my fault. Today, I am on the good computer (and the good links which come with :-).

MLT is our Video framework (need by any video editor). If you prefer it is the core engine of Openshot but it is not the only one. Currently, we are developing ours which will become soon with our future "big " version 2.0.

Take a look at our manual on line : http://www.openshotusers.com/help/1.3/en/
Like this, you 'll understand better than Openshot is working and the features that he can brings you.

To update your version of MLT, you must use the console. Open a terminal and copy paste the following lines :
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sunab/kdenlive-release && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install frei0r-plugins libmlt++3 libmlt-data libmlt4 melt python-mlt3

There are a lot of way to do that (under add the PPA) but it is so simple and power, that 's the best.
You should have this libraries installed after :
http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=974

Just tried again and it will be resolved (normally).

Thanks.
