divided clip settings

Why divided clip doesn't hinerit the original parameters but they are set to default? (Dimensions and positions at least)?

I was making a PictureInPicture movie. But anytime I need to divide a clip, I need to go to properties of the second one to change the values according with the first one.
Is not a bug, but it became boring when there are a lot of spits.

I gave a tour around code and find out where clip are divided but it's hard to find the properties name.
Can I find out somewhere this informations?

Hum perhaps you could look at the MLT documentation. And I don't find in my notes where they are in the system.
