OpenShot razor mode

I make a cut using razor mode. Then I basically have two clips....the first one I can preview (audio and video), the second I can only play back the audio, instead of the video I have one big white frame.

Can anybody help? Apologize if the question is trivial...I am a true amateur in video editing...

Hi,
I am not sure to understand well you are asking. But if your cut done like result two clips like one none video just audio. You can have several reasons.
A bad version of MLT .What is your distribution, version of MLT .An upgrade could be Benefit ?
A bad cut at the bad place. You don't know perhaps but a video is composed of image I, P, B and only one of this is the good (= contain all the informations of the frame). You have more explanations here ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/openshot/+bug/503112).
So, you could re-try to do another cut at another place, normally you have not a lot of chance to fall down at the same location .You can help you with the play head and the shortcut C for that. You move it at the place that you want and push on C.
