How do I copy a left channel mono audio to both stereo channels?

Asked by Stan Armstrong

I have an amateur DVD source that has audio only on the left channel. I would like to edit so that I have audio on both channels, producing a balances audio output. How do I do that?

Hi,
Same if we are working on several things, Audio is the poor parent, for the moment. Unfortunately, You should use another tool in command line ( i was thinking at ffmpeg ) but i do'nt know the command. Sorry.
Thanks

Hello,

I had the same problem. I recorded video with external mono microphone. When I edited and exported the video, sound was coming in one tear only. Then I exported video with #Channel as 1 in the advance export setting. The exported video has sound recorded on both channels.

With a software like Geany, Wingware, or same with gedit.
Be careful with this operation. Good luck.
