Is there a 'transition' that will let me fade one slide into the next?

I'm trying to set up a slide show that will have music in it. I expect to export it as an .avi or .mov. I'm looking for a transition that will let one slide fade away and let the next one take it's place. I guess I'd be messing with the alpha channel. Thanks in advance.
