ppa install not working ubuntu 9.1

Asked by Kathryn Ford

I run
sudo apt-get update

And get Err http://ppa/launchpad.net karmic/main Packages 404 Not Found
W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/joncomph/openshot-edge/ubuntu/dists/karmic/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz 404 Not Found
E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored or old ones used instead.

I ran the debug program and it said No packages found matching openshot, libmlt1, libmlt2, python-mlt, python-mlt2, openshot-mlt.

This is a clean install of Ubuntu 9.1

Thanks.

Please try again. I was updating the PPA tonight, so that might have caused
an issue when you tried to install it.

Thanks,

It still didn't work, same error.

I used the debian package and it works fine. But the deb didn't work last night; I got some python-mlt error after double-clicking on the package.

Thanks anyway!

I see the problem. You have the wrong URL for the PPA. It has "joncomph"
instead of "jonoomph". Here is the PPA page:
https://launchpad.net/~jonoomph/+archive/openshot-edge

All of the PPA info is on that page. Good luck!
