How to contribute and use

Asked by jan hamel

Hi everyone.

Thank you for this usefull software I just installed.

I'm willing to contribute, and allready tried to, but I'm not sure it helped...

How do I help as I'm no good with computers ?

I'm willing to help with my travelling so it is recorded, How do I do.

Is there a demo or a guide I can download ?

Thanks A lot for what you do, hope I can help a little.

My main task is to help people design zero energy houses for a living...maybe we can work together on something ?

Take care

Jan

Hi, Jan.

We are currently in the process of moving the content of the old website to Launchpad. If you are not able to help with coding, then you could help with documentation or one of several other projects. It also helps if you tell your friends about OpenSatNav. The best thing you can do is to sign-up to our mailing list.

I'll check the information for this, and then get a further reply added, so others can benefit.

With regard to your travelling, you may want to submit traces to the openstreetmap project (http://www.openstreetmap.org/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenStreetMap) or if you are visiting the UK, you may want to contribute to Freethepostcode (http://www.freethepostcode.org/) which is easily done using an app of the same name from Market.

"My main task is to help people design zero energy houses for a living...maybe we can work together on something ?". Great work! If you have ideas about how we could work together, please mention it on the mailiong list, I'm sure people would be very interested.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Chris.

Thanks to Mike:

The lists can be joined by going to:

https://lists.kentgeek.org/mailman/listinfo/osn-dev
https://lists.kentgeek.org/mailman/listinfo/osn-user

for the dev and user lists respectively.

Your browser may say that the site is not trusted; it just costs lots of money to get a certificate.

Cheers,

Chris.

FAQ #1082: “How do I keep informed of OSN's progress and discuss ideas?”.

Can you help with this problem?
