writer exporting as PDF, '€' (euro) char is changed to '¬'

I'm writing, with OpenOffice Writer, a document containing the eurosign character (€).
Trying to export my document as PDF results in having every '€' changed to '¬'

No problem with CUPS-PDF printing, but I need to solve OO problem.

It seems problem is active only with times, default writer font.
Changing to another font before exporting to pdf solves the problem.

hi, that standart font "times" was the same reason of my pdf-problem.
