contract start dyate and endate is not working properly whil generating payslips

Hi,
i have created a contract called temp contract for an employee with start date 12/28/2009 and endate as 12/30/2009.
The wage type i have given is Monthly net wage and wage is 50000.

When i tried to create the payslip for this employee using
HumanResource->payroll->Employee payslips

i have selected the employee name ,Expense journal and Bank journal and the date i given in this screen is 12/30/2009.

When i select the "compute Sheet" button it is showing Working days=23

Why is it so?
though the contract start date is 12/28/2009 and endate is 12/30/2009
looks like this is a bug?
or do i need to do some other configuration to get the working days = endate-startdate for this contract?

since i got stuck at this point , am not able to proceed further

Hello,

working day and worked day is calculated on the bases of the current month which is taken from date and if in that month any leave is taken then it will effect the worked day field.and working day is by default calculated as for our company working day that 5 day in a week and on the bases of that it will be calculated total working day.

It is required some improvement , currently it is not taking reference of working day field of contract object.(this is a bug.)
Start date and end date of contract will apply on related month salary.

Can you help with this problem?
