Proper installation for production

I was unable to find an official installation procedure of OpenERP (with OS, user, security, database, web and application configuration) and was wondering if it exists at all? I've found and used a number of installation procedures from OpenERP forums or other websites but I wanted to know is there an offical installation procedure for production?
So, i would like to know the proper and right way to install and configure new OpenERP server on new Linux Ubuntu server

I think it will do for now. I was hoping to get an answer directly from OpenERP team so I would have the official procedure, but this will do:)
