field.related in filters

I want to use a related field as condition in filter but it doesn't seem to work (no differences between toggle that button).
Is this a bug or an expected behavior?

Expected (mis)behavior.

There has been long threads of discussions on that. Please search them among
the bugs in LP.

In short: yes, we[1] realize and agree that fields.function and fields.related
must be able to be searched, sorted and filtered. But, current hybrid of SQL +
python makes that a totally non-trivial task.
That's why it's disabled now and we say we don't support it.
