Which English should we use?

Asked by Bogdan Stanciu

Hello,

Maybe this is NOT a crucial issue, but it seems that in a very friendly way, American and British English are mixed.

While I prefer the latter, I know that the former is more popular... Which one is to be used?

Thank you!
Bogdan

Els told me we should use British English.

There's still a lot of American English around, and we also have a i18n/uk tree which doesn't make much sense given the main source is UK English.

Hello,

Everywhere in OpenERP (product, documentation, presentations, communications,...), the default should be American English: en_US. This is why, for example, there is no en_US i18n and that there is a en_GB one. See https://translations.launchpad.net/openobject-addons
It is because en_US is the default hardcoded language.

Thank you for your collaboration in this challenging task to make OpenERP more en_US-like.
