backup problem v6.0.0-rc2

When I try to make a backup of a database, I get only the following error
"Backup maken onmogelijk". Translated from dutch to english it is "Impossible to backup" probably.

It happens after I select the location where the backup file should be written to. I have checked also different local disks with no success.
Is there something to configure?
I use v6.0.0-rc2

Do you check the postgresql log? can you paste it here

There was nothing in the log.
I manually did a pg_dump <dbname>
This works ok.

Or maybe any error from server and client at least the ouput to try understand the problem

I have the same error in the fat client and in the webclient.

One message in the postgresql log:
incomplete startup packet

But only after startup. Not during the backup attempt.

nothing in openerp-server.log
nothing in openerp-web.log

What else can I do? I'm pretty new to linux (ubuntu in my case). Although I'm a delphi programmer
I want to help solve this problem.

I do have the same issue with Client GTK on Linux Mint, I have a feeling that is has somehow to do with rights and access on the client computer. Truth is I never managed to backup using this client.

Please use nothing earlier than 6.0.2. Minor releases are bugfix ones, you have
no reason not to upgrade them.
Especially on that subject, we have improved the "pg_dump" code between 6.0.1
and 6.0.2 .
