smtp client error " no module named generator"

Good morning,

i have this probem in windows xp
i have configure my smtp server wiyh tis parameters:

server name: localhost
server type: google server
email adress: <email address hidden>
email from: administrator<email address hidden>
use auth : checked
user name: tst9842
password: password of <email address hidden>
smtp port: 587
use ssl: checked
sever satut: not verified
server type: default

now if i click on "send verification code" i have the error message in the log

I'm facing the same issue here. I installed the smtp_client module but when i try verifying the newly configured email account it gives the below mentioned error:

I have WIN Server 2003 RC2 Enterprise with postgre sql 8.3.8 and OPEN ERP 5
ne suggestions are invited.

At present i am using OpenERP windows installer 5.0.6. Do I need to switch to 5.0.7 ?

We agree that it was a problem in the version 5.0.6.
With the latest version, it has been fixed.
You may download 5.0.7 or may test this unstable version http://openerp.com/download/unstable/win32/.

Jay,

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. We have just downloaded and installed v5.0.7 and the issue is still persisting.
Am I missing something? Can you point me to any article which talks about the steps required to configure the smtpclient.
