Trying to upload a new module to this branch

Asked by Solid Rock IT

Hello,

I am trying to upload a new module to this branch but it seems I am doing something wrong.

1) I create a local copy of this branch
bzr branch http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~openerp-community/openobject-addons/trunk-addons-commun
ity solidrockit
Branched 29 revision(s).

2) I add our module "hr_holiday_srit" in under solidrockit subdirectory

3) I add the new subdirectory and files in order to commit.

4) I perform the commit, aparently OK but it only increases Branched Version to 30 in the local directory

Why are not changes sent to ~openerp-community/openobject-addons/trunk-addons-commun
ity?

Best regards

Hello,
I suppose you added your directory through this command bzr add YourDirectory
then you need to perform bzr push as you have branch and not checkout.

thanks,
Naresh Choksy

Hello

No way to push.

I have change the method but no way too. My OS is WXP.

1) bzr branch lp:~openerp-community/openobject-addons/trunk-addons-community
Connected (version 2.0, client Twisted)
Authentication (publickey) successful!
Secsh channel 1 opened.
Branched 29 revision(s).

2) bzr reconfigure --checkout
Connected (version 2.0, client Twisted)
Authentication (publickey) successful!
Secsh channel 1 opened.
\ 0kB @ 0kB/s

3) I add the new subdirectory "hr_holiday_srit"(where our new module files are) to my local "trunk-addons-community" directory is.

4) I try to commit the new local directory "xxx\local trunk-addons-community\hr_holiday_srit" to Launchpad

Connected (version 2.0, client Twisted)
Authentication (publickey) successful!
Secsh channel 1 opened.
bzr: ERROR: Cannot lock LockDir(lp-140570171688656:///~openerp-community/openobject-addons/trunk-addons-community/.bzr/branchlock): Transport operation not possible: readonly transport

Is there something wrong the way I am doing.

How do you load new modules to this lp ~openerp-community/openobject-addons/trunk-addons-community/?

Many thanks

hello,
As the error says readonly transport I suppose you dont have rights to commit. Are you a member of openerp-commiters team in launchpad.

thanks,
Naresh

Hello Naresh,

Not I am not member of openerp-commiters, it says [Your request to join OpenERP Commiters is awaiting approval.].

This module is our first contribution to OpenEPR.

Can someone approve our membership to openerp-commiters team or do I have to put this module some other place?

Best regards

Iñigo

Team Owner i.e Fabien(OpenERP). hasy declined our membership to openerp-commiters team.

********************
Hello,
To become a commiter, you have to release at least 2 modules in the
community branch.
I decline your request, you should join the openerp-community group and
reapply when you
prooved you can develop on Open ERP.
Hope you understand,
Thansk,

Then, the questions are:

1) How or where do we publish this our first module?
2) How can we publish 2 modules if we can not publish the first one?
3) Do I have to give it to some already certified commiter?

And one final reflexion: it is getting hard to contribute, I have spend several ours in order to have a clear picture

Best regards

Hello Naresh,

I have put the module in this place

lp:~solidrockit/openobject-addons/4.2-hr_holiday_srit
lp:~solidrockit/openobject-addons/5.0-hr_holiday_srit
lp:~solidrockit/openobject-addons/Doc-hr_holiday_srit

We will see if community thinks its valuable and if errors are found.

If I understood correctly we can send proposal of merging later.

Many thanks

Iñigo
