point of sale interface customization

Asked by Milan Tribuson on 2012-08-13

Is there any way we can inherit and change something in new point-of-sale interface? Is that possible or do we have to change original files? I'm asking this because we would like to have a list of products instead of pictures. And we would also like to see the product code, UOM and available quantity.
We would also like to change the way payment methods are displayed because our costumers have up to 150 payment methods...

Milan,

Yes, this is possible.

Assign the js and xml files in __openerp__.pyand thats it.

We did a similar one here:

Thanks.

Thank you, but how could I change the "picture panel view" on the right with a list view with 4 columns that will also be filtered as i write something in the search field? Is that possible and could you give me a hint?

Milan,

Any customization is possible if you have an idea of how pos module designs the views.

If you have a clear understanding of the xml which designs the pos.

The pos-product-template is the one responsible for images on rightbar.

Thanks.
