Is it possible to change a sales order line for a confirmed sales order?

Asked by JB (eficent.com)

Hello, I have a confirmed sales order with multiple line items. I have invoiced some of the lines, but I'd like to change the price in one of the lines that has not yet been invoiced. Is it possible to do that?

I'm finding that the sales order line is greyed out once the sales order is changed to "Approved", and in case that I'd like to change it, I have to cancel the invoices, then cancel the order, and then correct the lines that needs changing.

Jordi,

The current behavior is quite usual as once the sale order is confirmed, its not preferable to allow changes in sale order line.

You can always change price on invoice directly.

However, we can suggest this new scenario:

If the policy is postpaid -payment after delivery or payment at picking, the Price should be allowed to be changed but not the qty.

Additionally, as a hack; You can try an advance invoice option and play with +/- amount.

This may help.

If its Draft, only in that case you can edit quantities.

Otherwise, cancel, reopen!

And don't forget to check the procurements : cancel/reopen a sale will make new purchase/manufacturing orders of "Make to Order" products.
