How to set the language in DMS directories ?

I would like to setup document-ftp to let users browse the products by name in French.
In Bug #487702, xrg writes that this should be done using the dynamic context feature.
However, that only lets us insert context keys with the prefix "dctx_", so we can't set the key 'lang' this way, can we?
So, how can a context be passed to the DMS ?

Looking at the code, it seems that it's just can't be done - so this kind of answers my questions.
I filed #930044 as a follow-up.
