Salary Head

Asked by Gerhard du Toit

Please provide some detail on syntax for "based on" and condition in payroll salary head.

1. how complex can these expressions be.
2. what are all the coded terms eg: basic, what others are there?

Some examples would be handy.

Hello,

Here you need to use only three words which are used in hr_payroll salary calculation:

basic, gross and net.

Thanks.

are "and" and "or" allowed in the expression, if so whats the syntax,

E.g. deduction only applicable if the gross > x and gross < y

Hello ,

In general you can use basic, but You can use all heads code (In small case) like lta (Leave and Travel Allowance), ma (Medical Allowance), hra (House Rent Allowance) etc.

These are the codes which are using in the related allowance / deduction object.

Thanks.

"In general you can use basic"

Basic what?
I do not understand. I understand the use of codes in lower case but what about complex formulas and conditions in the condition tab.
