Saving Much Product on Sale Order Lines in One Single Click

Asked by Whisnu

Guys, I would like to ask:
On the Sales --> Sales Order --> Sale Order Lines, if we click NEW button, add one product and then click SAVE button, OpenERP system will save the product and the product will appear on the Sale Order Lines. Let say we have 100 products (in one Sales Order) then we should add the product one by one and click the SAVE button one by one and OpenERP will do the saving process one by one too, this process in not effective. Is there any way to add much products in Sale Order Lines with one single click (OpenERP do the saving process just in one time and all the products will appear on the Sale Order Lines)?
Please advice.
TIA

Hello Whisnu,

I have checked over all Details specification.

The way you add one product, use the same way
And you will able to add multiple products.

See the attached Screenshot.

thanks for the reply.. yes i'm able to add much products using that way. the problem is 100 product = 100 click on SAVE button = 100 OpenERP saving process.
But my question is can we add 100 product in 1 single click (on SAVE button), because 1 click on SAVE button = 1 OpenERP saving process --> This is efective and will not take so many server resources. Please advice.

Hello Whisnu,

I agree with what you say.
In order to add 100 products(different products, not the same. If same, you could have selected 100 as qty), you will have to add 100 lines by 100 clicks for sure.

In a better workaround, you can import sale order lines by a csv file using OpenERP import utility. This will save a lot of time of yours and 100 lines will be added in a single click.

Let me know if you face any trouble.
Thanks.

thanks for the reply and the solution, i really appreciate it.. yeah i think import is the best solution right now.
perhaps we can develop some tools (beside import tools) which allow to add much products in Sales Order Lines someday :-) because much of the big company have 200 or more products in one sales order for one salesman.. let say we have 1000 salesman.. imagine how much bandwidth that we can spare with that tools
once again.. thank you
