Hello Joel,

Cost price is always related with incoming product only(purchase related task).
For outgoing product always related with standard price not cost price (used in sale related task.)

Hope this will help you.
Thanks.

what would be my set up if i want my finished good to have the cost price of all its raw materials.. Let say to produce a pencil I would be needing a wood, the lead , a metal and the eraser,

                    Cost
PENCIL
 - Wood 23.98
 - Lead 13.08
 - Metal 11.67
 - Eraser 15.32

From the example above I should be having a 64.05 (sum of all the RM) as cost price that would reflect in my entries when production done.... Thanks,

Hello joel,

=>You can use product_extended module which is related to extra addons.
=>You can use product structure report from product object. But directly (without using product extended. )in finished good is not available in the current OpenERP version.

Hope this will help you.

Thanks.

Yeah Thanks,

I have this scenario related to this one. In my BoM I have this products:
                           cost
Pencil 6
 - wood class A - 3
 - lead - 2
 - eraser - 1

What if during the production I have no stock of wood class A and decided to replace it with wood class B with cost of 4 (more expensive than class A) so instead of having 6 as cost of my pencil I should rather have 7 because I used a more expensive class of wood.

How will I be able to have 7 in my financial entries rather than 6? Is it covered with product_extended module?

Hello joel,

For this type of decision making better you need to used product structure report.
So from report you will get the idea regarding which product is more/less expensive compare to other product.
You need to decide this from your side before creating BOM.product_extended module will only calculate standard price for particular product according to BOM.

Hope this will help you.

Thanks.
