Loss of menu bar when adding attachment

Asked by Paul Dijkhuis

OpenERP
Adding an attachment opens a new window which does not have the menu bar on the top of the screen.
I need to kill my session and start up again or use the return arrows in my browser.

How do I make the attached file visible in the preview window. Neither pdf, jpg, tif, png, bmp files are recognised.

Hi Paul,

Where exactly are you trying to add the attachment? In a Launchpad bug? Can you provide more details about which operation are you trying to do and failing?

Cheers,

Úrsula

Dear Úrsula,

I am using OpenERP.
I would like to attach a technical drawing to a product.
You can either go to product. Select an item and try adding an attachment
Or go to Documents and look for any attached document

When I select to edit a document in the Tab Attachment I loose my menu bar at the top of the screen so I can not go back. However I have found that selecting one of the other Tabs it will bring back the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Second part I have not found out. In the attachment it holds the path of origen from where I uploaded the drawing and the digitized drawing. I can open the digitized attachment.
However there is also a preview option on the window and this does not seem to accept any file or format. I tried pdf, jpg, tif, png, bmp but no succes

Cheers,

Paul

Thanks Jay,
I have not yet found the trunk version you are refering.
Will be looking further and set up my system.
I don't know my way around launchpad and find it difficult searching for what I am looking for.
Next week I will be at the office of OpenERP and ask them to show me where te look
