how to create a new module.

i would like to create a new module for some new functionality in openerp-server-5.0-alpha.
can you point me to the appropriate documentation for doing this.

How about looking at the wiki:

and one of the tutorials under the Heading of "Developers". Don't let the "Open Object" header deter you. Open Object is the underlying dev system for openerp.

Hi,
The above links do not work anymore!
There is documantation on doc.openerp.com, bur is seems to be outdated, the new module example does not work in OE 5.0.1 ....
