connection reset by peer during download

Asked by Thomas O'Dell

I'm unable to download the full openerp source following the instructions on

http://openobject.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=53&Itemid=61

"bzr branch lp:openerp" works okay, but then I get problems when I run "./bzr_set.py".

Python runs for a while (e.g. 15-20 min) and then I get the message "socket.error: [Errno 54] Connection reset by peer".

Although several megabits have been transferred to my computer, none of it is actually unpacked and I have to start again from scratch. I have been unable to unload the 5.0.11 source. (I have an old copy of 5.0 source but I get a lock error every time I try to update it.)

Several questions:
(1) Any way to restart the download from the point it failed?
(2) Any other method that cmd-line bzr to download branches, a method that can handle lost packets?
(3) Any way to download parts of a branch?
(4) Can we reorder the branch so that the critical stuff is downloaded first, and the extraneous stuff after?

We can't really call ourselves "open-source" if we can't download the source.... :)

Thanks in advance for your prompt assistance,

Thomas O'Dell
