Check printing

Asked by Mark Robinson

I would like to download the check printing, but I'm very ignorant about the process. I only see in the OPEN ERP the ability to look for .zip files. I tried to download something from the lp:openerp_usa that's a .tgz file (r40). Could you please give me a very simple step-by-step of what I should do to install the check printing feature (US).

Thank you.

Hi Mark,

No worries. Have you installed Bazaar on your Windows Machine?
If you do, you can pull the entire branch and place it in a separate addons folders (make sure you modify your config file to look at this folder). Most of the time - what we recommend is you leave the OpenERP Addons folder alone - and make a separate addons folder for your customizations.
After you pull the code from launchpad and place it in the folder then all the modules should be available in lp:openerp-usa should be available to you - and you can update your code from time2time.
If you're not familiar with Bazaar there is a Bazaar in 5 minutes guide you should review. just search google . . .
It will help you access a lot of code in Launchpad associated with OpenERP.

What release level are you running as well?

Let me know if you're able to get it based on those instructions.

Dave

PS. If you do need to purchase checks you can visit www.open-supplies.com for OpenERP checks.

Can you help with this problem?
