Onboard not active in Applications and Request Authentication

When I need to search for an applications in the "Show Application", the keyboard is visible in the background but can't use it to type in the search-bar. When I install a program in Ubuntu Software, it sometimes request a password confirmation. I can't use the keyboard either, it's not visible. Is there an option to solve this problem?
