Where are onboard settings stored (position especially)

Asked by Rufus V. Smith

I've submitted a bug report, but in the meantime maybe I can make a workaround.

The problem is, I set up a kiosk-mode application with a Raspberry Pi (Raspbian-Buster). The problem is, when I work with the SD card on one Pi, with HDMI plugged in, I can move the keyboard or floating icon to the right hand side of the display. If I then move the SD card to a system with the touchscreen display, the keyboard and icon are off-screen, and I don't know how to get them back within bounds!

Personally, I think both the icon and keyboard should automatically put themselves within the screen area (after all, this is a kiosk application), but in lieu of that, I could change the position of the windows on bootup, but I don' t know where that position information is stored in the system. Any suggestions?

Settings are stored using dconf. You can see all set values using 'dconf list /org/onboard/'.

Can you help with this problem?
